Participants in our Training
for Trainers acquire the concepts and skills to provide conflict
resolution and/or peer mediation training for their school or
district. It includes three
core components:
1. Curriculum. Participants learn core elements of the PeaceWorks model
first from our presentation of the content areas. On following days,
they prepare and present lessons to the group.
2. Feedback. We provide constructive feedback on content
and technique to help participants hone their skills.
3. Logistics. Training for Trainers will sharpen participants'
awareness of how to set up an effective, interactive learning environment.
We evaluate the pros and cons of different seating arrangements,
audiovisual support, and more. We offer sample
agendas tailored for various time frames and audiences.
We recommend an optimal group size of 12-18 persons.
Training of Trainers
requires two to six days according to the content desired. Typically
we distribute these days over two to four consecutive weeks.
